  • The Carbon Capture Student Engineer will work with EPRI scientists and engineers to conduct research on carbon capture, power systems, and engineering economics. Likely focus of this work would be in CO2 conversion to fuels and other products via biological conversion. Tasks include learning about different companies and technologies in this space, creating and running computer models, analyzing results, and writing summary reports.
  • Minimum Junior year engineering student, preferably in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or closely related field
  • Graduate students preferred

Ideal Candidate
  • Strong background in mathematics
  • Aptitude and interest in solving engineering problems
  • Working in a team environment, and working on long-term research problems
  • Experience with biological systems
  • Can work 40 hours per week during Summer 2021
