Python Developer Intern
Hello future interns!
We are Infrrd - the Enterprise AI company that uses AI and Machine Learning technologies to help our customers automate human tasks. We are looking for Python Developer intern who will help implement solutions for the specific needs of our various clients and/or contribute to the development of our products. This internship will start immediately.
Like any job, it has its do's and don'ts. Let's talk about don'ts first. We are not looking for someone who:
1. Cannot write concise, performance efficient code.
2. Does not want to stay hands-on with code for a long time to come.
3. Cannot solve complex problems fast! We compete with some of the best companies on the planet and we need teammates who can give tough competition to these companies – in terms of both speed and accuracy.
With the don'ts out of the way, let’s talk about the good stuff.
About Infrrd:
1. We are a team of about 350 people, so while we are young - we are not a start-up.
2. There are three levels of people in our team - those who do the work, those who can fix things when they are not working, and the ones that can own outcomes. This job belongs in the Second category. You will be responsible for combining analysis and curiosity to understand how things work and what can be done to make them work better.
3. Our team is spread in 3 parts of the globe - the US, Europe, and India. You will need to be comfortable working with remote colleagues.

If you have read this far, then you may want to know what background we would like our Python Developer intern to have. We have made a list, here it is:
What we look for -
- Strong Python skills (Python 3.4+) with understanding the performance issues, code readability and maintainability
- Experience in OOP/functional coding in Python
- Has a knack for writing scripts quickly to automate any repetitive/manual task during development or deployment
- Experience in Python frameworks like Flask/Django
- Strong ownership of the task at hand
- Experience/knowledge of databases
What you will be working on -
- Write well designed, testable and efficient code with comprehensive code coverage and documentation
- Design reliable distributed systems that handle high volume of data with low latency
- Ensure the deliverables are of the highest quality in terms of functional and technical aspects
- Benchmarking and evaluation of the machine learning modules
- Gather data from various data sources at Infrrd and transform the data to the required formats into proprietary data and tagging tools
- Data analysis, pattern & trend identification and generating actionable items, visualization of data insights
- Work cross-functionally with data entry, machine learning engineers to build world-class products and design hypothesis-driven experiments; make clear, coherent and holistic recommendations based on test results
