College Ready AZ Social Media Ambassadors
A college degree opens doors of success for Arizona students. Data indicates that students with a college education have higher earning potential, access to more job opportunities, job advancement, better quality of life and personal satisfaction. Encouraging more students to seek a college degree and increasing educational attainment in the state is a priority of the Arizona Board of Regents and the state’s public universities.
As part of this goal, the board is launching College Ready AZ, a new, one-of-a-kind website that providescomprehensive information for middle and high school Arizona students and their families to learn about planning, paying and applying for college. Aspiring college students and their families can find information on the websites’ social media channels as well -- Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
As current college students, you have successfully navigated your path to college and have uniqueinformation and insight to share with current middle and high school students. You can offer a glimpse into your journey to plan and apply for college, what college life is like on a public university campus in Arizona, and why college is important to you.
Every journey to college is unique. College students sharing their story with middle and high school students has the potential to be very impactful and inspirational.
The opportunity
The board is seeking students at Arizona’s public universities to share informative, impactful and inspirational messages about their personal path to college. This content would be shared across the College Ready AZ social media channels.

Requirements
During the semester each College Ready AZ University Ambassador will be responsible for creating 10pieces of content for the College Ready AZ social accounts.
- 10 Instagram reels
Ambassadors will sign photo release forms to allow ABOR to use their content and image on the College Ready AZ website and social media.
The Ambassadors will work with the College Ready AZ social team to brainstorm content ideas that are relevant and appropriate. Ambassadors are required to come weekly with ideas for content that they can work on.
Ambassadors are required to attend a virtual Kickoff Meeting with the Arizona Board of Regents teamduring the first two weeks of the program – date will be determined based on ambassadors’ availability. At the Kickoff Meeting, ambassadors will learn about the program, meet their fellow ambassadors and create content for College Ready AZ.
Skills & Abilities
Ambassadors should be passionate about their university and the college experience. As some of the faces of College Ready AZ, the Ambassadors can have a direct impact on the college-going culture in Arizona.
Candidates must:
- Be comfortable speaking and appearing on camera.
- Be well-versed with Instagram and the varying content formats on the platform (posts, stories, reels).
- Be experienced creating content for social media.
- Be aware of current social media trends.
- Be an independent worker.
- Be able to meet deadlines.
- Be detail oriented. College Ambassadors will need to use proper grammar and spelling on content.
- Be an on-campus student at Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University or the University of Arizona.
Expectations
- Ambassadors will be responsible for completing and turning in 10 pieces of content during the semester.
- Ambassadors are expected to respond to communication from the ABOR team within one (1) business day. Clear lines of communication are crucial for the success of the program.
- Ambassadors will be looked to as experts in the content space. They should bring ideas for content – whether current trends or relevant topics – weekly.
- Ambassadors should submit their content to the ABOR team completed with the relevant information – caption, music/sound, graphics – included.
- Ambassadors should reshare the content created for College Ready AZ to their Instagram stories.
- Ambassadors are the face of College Ready AZ’s social accounts. They should create their content accordingly and strive to create content that features themselves and their personal experiences.
Compensation
College Ambassadors will receive a stipend of $500 for attending monthly meetings and creating 10 pieces of content for the Summer 2025 semester.
